All questions
Your visit
How do I book?
Choose your treatment and salon through online booking, then check the address before confirming. If you are unsure which service to choose, our team can help.
Where are the salons?
You’ll find us at Palackého 718/9, Praha 1, and Husitská 107/3, Praha 3. Choose the salon that works for you and double-check the address when booking.
How should I plan my journey to the salon?
Please check your salon’s address and plan your route before your visit. Traffic can be heavy and parking near our salons is very limited, especially in the city centre. If you drive, allow plenty of extra time for both traffic and finding a parking space. We recommend considering public transport: the metro, trams and buses are often a more convenient way to reach us and arrive on time.
When are you open?
Our listed opening hours are Monday–Sunday, 9:00–19:30. Available appointment times are shown in online booking. For a particular date or a change to your visit, check with the salon.
Can I speak to the team?
Call +420 777 439 447 or email lysakisapraha@gmail.com to speak with the salon team.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment. Late cancellations and no-shows may incur a charge of 50% of the treatment price, or retention of an existing 50% prepayment instead. A 50% prepayment may be required for future bookings. To cancel or change your booking, contact the salon directly.
Do you have gift vouchers?
Yes, gift vouchers are available from the salon. Contact the team for the current options, validity and terms of use.
Treatments
Do you use wax or sugar?
We use both wax and sugar paste, preferring sugar where suitable. Your therapist chooses the method with your skin, treatment area and appointment time in mind. Tell them about any preference or concern before treatment.
Which treatment should I choose?
We offer waxing and sugaring, electrolysis and laser hair removal. The choice depends on your hair, skin and goals. Explore the treatments to understand the options; our team can discuss what suits you before you book.
How much time should I book for electrolysis?
It depends on the amount, density and thickness of the hair. You can send an optional photo of the area via Instagram Direct for an estimate. If you prefer not to, we recommend starting with 30 minutes so your therapist can assess the area. A 15-minute introductory appointment is also available.
How long does a course of electrolysis take?
On average, around 1.5–2.5 years, with roughly 8–15 full clearances of the area. A full clearance can take more than one appointment. The overall duration depends on individual hair growth and regular attendance.
How long does a course of laser hair removal take?
Typically around 2 years, with about 8–11 treatments of the full area. The number varies with hair type, hormonal factors and individual response. Maintenance treatments may be needed afterwards.
Does electrolysis hurt, and is numbing cream an option?
Sensations vary. Most of our clients have electrolysis without numbing, but a numbing cream may be an option for greater sensitivity. It is available at the salon. Before using it, check with your therapist and follow the product’s instructions.
Can I shave between electrolysis appointments?
Yes. You can shave between sessions, but avoid tweezers, wax and sugar paste, which remove hair from the root. Before electrolysis, let body hair grow to 4–6 mm; around 3 mm is enough on the face.
How often should I come for electrolysis?
After a complete clearance of the facial area, we usually recommend waiting at least 2 weeks. For body areas, intervals depend on new hair growth and how fully the area was cleared. Your therapist will help you plan the next visit.
How long does electrolysis take for underarms, bikini or face?
As a rough guide, a full clearance of both underarms takes 1–2 hours; a deep bikini clearance takes 7–12 hours in total. These are total working times, not a requirement to book one long appointment. For the face, we recommend starting with 30–45 minutes. Hair density and structure affect the time. An optional Instagram photo can help us estimate.
Does laser work on fair, red or grey hair?
Our diode laser is most effective on dark, fairly coarse hair. Light, red, grey and very fine hairs may not respond effectively because they have too little pigment. Electrolysis can treat hair regardless of colour and may be worth considering for these hairs.
How often should I come for laser hair removal?
Usually every 2–6 months, depending on the area and hair growth. We wait for a new wave of growth rather than scheduling treatments too frequently. Your therapist will advise when to return for your particular area.
Should I choose laser or electrolysis?
Laser is most suited to dark, coarse hair and can substantially reduce growth, with maintenance sometimes needed. Electrolysis treats individual follicles, works with all hair colours and permanently destroys the follicles successfully treated. The right choice depends on the area, hair and your goals; neither means all hair disappears after one visit.
Can I have hair removal during pregnancy?
As a precaution, we do not perform laser hair removal or electrolysis during pregnancy. Waxing or sugaring may be considered if there are no contraindications and your doctor agrees. For advice specific to your pregnancy, speak with your healthcare professional.
Can I have treatment during my period?
Yes. Menstruation itself is not a contraindication to electrolysis, laser or waxing/sugaring. Deep bikini treatment is also possible with a tampon or menstrual cup. Sensitivity may be higher, so the treatment can feel more uncomfortable than usual.
What is four-hands electrolysis?
Two therapists work on the same area at the same time, treating more hairs in less time. In an hour, they may do roughly the work one therapist would do in two hours, though actual speed varies. It can be useful for larger areas such as legs or deep bikini. Four-hands appointments have their own tariff.
Can I treat several areas in one visit?
Yes. During a 2-hour electrolysis appointment, for example, you could work on the underarms and use the remaining time for the bikini area. Electrolysis is charged by total time and appointment type, rather than the number of areas. Face and four-hands appointments have separate tariffs. If you are unsure how much time to book, message us on Instagram.
